Drawing at the Royal West of England Academy.

With experimental drawing group, HATCH, I participated in a couple of day events as part of  the Drawn show at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol. All good stuff, sat around and drew eachother and things of interest.

A major excitement was using a pencil in both hands to draw portraits. They came out quite scary, but with a certain zest.

The next exciting event was drawing sign-language poets as they performed.  The rhythm of poetry comes from their movements. They had very different styles, one more lyrical the other more direct and physical.  An afternoon orgainsed by Kyra Pollitt.

Sad thing was though that one cant draw and pay attention to what is going on at the same time. The poor poets had to repeat a number of the poems so we could watch as well.
